Seminar Overview:
Have you ever been talking to someone or giving a presentation and didn't have a clue as to how it was going over? Have you ever wanted to make a good impression only to discover nothing you're doing is working the way you want? Have you ever been negotiating a deal and discovered you were completely mistaken about what the customer or supplier wanted or was giving you? Have you ever wondered how to get through to some people?
Here's where you find out. This full day seminar provides some basic tools for learning how people are thinking and how to make use of the way they think to achieve your goals. The seminar requires individual participation and all NextStage trainers ensure a safe environment for learning these techniques.
In the day long seminar participants will learn how to:
- Get and keep someone's attention
- Gain confidence in uncomfortable situations
- Set, keep and meet group meeting goals
- Set, keep and meet personal meeting goals
Class Requirements:
- Time - The day long seminar covers slightly more than 8 hours from beginning to end, starting at 9am and going until 5pm (including breaks). It is strongly recommended that participants have a light breakfast before class starts and where loose fitting clothes. Lunch and snacks are provided.
- Location - This seminar is conducted at the host company's facilities or another suitable location without distractions. The seminar will take place in a warm, airy and safe class setting. Cellphones, pagers, etc., must be turned off during the class. Emergency messages will be given to the instructors to pass to the students once the specific student is eased from the class environment.
- Class Size - 10-30 students (10 students minimum)
- Certification - This seminar is given without grading of any kind, including Pass/Fail. While this seminar is a prerequisite to further NextStage trainings, participants will be given a Certification of Training (time in class) only, not a certification of ability.
- Seminar Materials - NextStage provides the seminar materials for all of its classes, seminars and trainings. These materials include notebooks and handouts. In some cases a projector or DVD player and a screen will be requested by the hosting company or provided by NextStage for advanced studies.
